The Sony Ericsson Aino design is fairly simple rectangular blocks. With dimensions of 4.09 and 1.97 inches long and 0.61 inches wide, Aino bit cumbersome and probably make a dent in your pocket. It’s no lightweight either at 4.73 ounces, giving it a very solid and sturdy feel in the hand. The Aino comes in black and white and it comes with a desktop charging cradle, which also works as a spring of synchronization.

The beautiful scratch-resistant mineral glass display is realy impressive. This generous 3 inches diagonally, and also produces 16.7 million colors and 432×240 pixel. All photos and video in a simple animation of a fantastic view. When the phone is closed, the phone actually acts as a touch screen, but only for 3D-browser means Aino. The browser allows access to camera, photo gallery, video player, music player and FM radio, without even opening the phone. Moving the phone is open, you can access other phone functions, but not touch screen.

The Aino is a very multimedia-friendly phone. The music player compares favorably with dedicated Walkman phones, with features like airplane mode, an equalizer, playlists, stereo widening, clear bass, and shuffle and repeat modes. The video player is also impressive, which supports MP4, 3GP, ASF, WMV, and Real Video formats.

With 8.1-megapixel camera, you can take pictures in five resolutions, including full HD 16:9 option. Options include a timer, flash, macro, autofocus, focus mode of the infinite, which ignores the autofocus for shooting over long distances, and geotagging.

The Aino comes with a surprising number of applications. These include AccuWeather, Bluetooth Robot, Music Quiz, photo-Mate, Wisepilot, and the aforementioned YouTube. There is also the availability of specialized applications for Twitter and Facebook. Aino has a few games and the crazy “Penguin” and QuadraPop. Additional settings are available through a web browser, as well as additional graphics and ringtones.
